specialize in breeding top quality TB and WB sporthorses with the
rare palomino, cremello, buckskin, and sabino colors.
Our
Thoroughbred and Warmblood horses
have good
pedigrees &
excellent temperaments, and the athletic ability to excel in any
sporthorse discipline.
Goldhope
Farm was founded in 1996 with the purchase of two palomino TB mares
of the Milkie bloodline. We since have added some very special mares
to our broodmare band including a
champion "A" show hunter, Sand River (above), Lucky in
Gold who was second at Devon and is a full sister to an IHF winner, and gorgeous imported Danish
WB mare Alino Queen . Our
farm is within an hours drive of Lancaster, PA; Delaware,
Phila, PA; and many parts of New Jersey, Ohio, and Maryland.
Lucky in Gold
We
choose mares for our program that are excellent movers and
producers, absolutely free of vices, with the mind and character to
raise exceptional sporthorse foals. We breed for quality and
not quantity, and produce a small quality
foal crop each year which are
offered for sale. All of our palomino TB mares descend from
the Milkie
(TB) line,
and are true palominos with golden coats and white manes and
tails. They are from the famous line of show hunters and IHF
winners that produced Gold Apollo, Smoking Gun (IHF winner), Dressed
In Gold nationally ranked 1st year Green Hunter and Conformation
Hunter, Golden Opportunity, AHSA Horse of the Year Money Talks (aka
Talkative), & Gold Horizon (IHF winner, Ch. Amateur hunter....),
and
2000
IHF winners Playin Roy Rogers and Cisco Kid, and our
mares include CH.
Amateur Owner Hunter, Sum R Gold (aka Sand River). Devon
winners include Skattered Dreams by Dream in Gold, and Upperville
and MD State Fair champion Fools Gold, as well as Dressage at Devon
champion Skattered Gold! These horses are excellent movers,
have good conformation, and quiet, sensible temperaments. We
have produced multiple ribbon winners at Devon, Dressage at Devon,
Hunter Breeding Futurities and many more esteemed shows, as well as
premium WB foals!!
