Milkie

Please excuse the poor quality of these photos...the video footage they came from was taken many years ago, and Milkie was over 20 years old.

Milkie was the first known palomino thoroughbred registered with the Jockey Club.  He is considered the founding father of most of the palomino and buckskin thoroughbreds in the world today.   He is the sire of several palomino stallions  including Gold Apollo (the famous show hunter) and  Milkie's Desire (a full brother to our Desire for Gold), sire of many "A" show hunter champions. Milkie was known for his prepotence in passing on extremely good movement as well as the desirable palomino color. Linebred to Rodgers.

This great genetic pool comes from such great sires as Princequillo, who's name is found in the pedigrees of many winning hunters and jumpers throughout the U.S. and Canada, such as, Cool

Shoes Green Conformation Hunter Champion, Washington and Reserve Champion Madison Square Garden., Excalibur 2nd AHSA Green Working Hunter and 2nd AHSA Regular Working Hunter, Lord Sutler 2nd AHSA Regular Conformation Hunter, Stocking Stuffer four time AHSA Champion Regular Conformation Hunter, Unreal AHSA Amateur Owner Jumper and Champion at such shows as Tampa, Palm Beach, Lake Placid, Washington International, Hampton Classic.

Another predominantly strong sport horse influence  is Blenheim II. There are far too many great AHSA Hunter Champions and International Jumpers which have Blenheim II in their pedigree to name. For example, Jumpers-Rome Dome member of the U.S. Olympic Team, Sloopy member of U.S. Olympic Team won Bronze Medal, Snowbound member U.S Olympic Team won individual Gold Medal, Sombre member U.S. Olympic Team. Hunters-Army Wife AHSA 1st Year Green Champion, Automation AHSA Green and Regular Conformation Hunter Champion, Fun And Games AHSA Champion 2nd Year Green, The Cowardly Lion AHSA Green Working and 2nd Year Green Champion.
